It seems as most around the NBA were happy to see Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder return from injury. Perhaps the same can’t be said for Nerlens Noel of the Philadelphia 76ers though as he gave the reigning NBA MVP a not so flattering welcome back to the league.
Just days after Durant played in his first game since breaking his foot during training camp, the OKC star attempted to get crafty in the fourth quarter and slide towards the basket on an inbound play. Everything actually looked as if it was going to work out perfectly, but that’s where Nerlens Noel was waiting and delivered a crushing blocked shot to Kevin Durant.
This isn’t the first time Durant has been stuffed nor is it the most “poster worthy” either, though that was still a pretty solid play on the part of Noel.
Looking like something out of a video game or even an old school yard rejection, Noel simply went up and stuffed it right back into Kevin Durant’s face. It wasn’t a tipped shot or even a half block created by Durant trying to avoid getting stuffed, it was a pure, nasty rejection.
Of course, as many have learned over time, you might put Kevin Durant on a poster once or twice but he always comes back and does it two-fold to you.
In short, Nerlens Noel better live up his block on Kevin Durant while he can because the OKC Thunder star probably has revenge on his mind.
