4. Without him, the Warriors wouldn’t be where they are

Take a look at the Warriors’ roster makeup. Golden State is one of the best teams in the league top to bottom, but without Curry, it would be a much different story. Curry is responsible for a majority of the team’s offense, scoring 23.8 points and dishing nearly eight assists per game — that’s over 40 points a game coming from Steph.

This team might be a loaded one with guys like Andre Iguodala, Draymond Green, Harrison Barnes and Klay Thompson, but Curry is the guy who holds everyone together.

Without Steph, this team wouldn’t have its leader and, obviously, the top scorer. If you’re looking at MVPs, it’s the guy who is clearly the most valuable to his team. Curry was that guy and more. He was the glue and the guy who everyone turned to when a big shot needed to be made or a big play was necessary.

If it wasn’t for Curry, there’s absolutely no way the Warriors go 67-15, maybe not even get 50 wins for the entire season. Just take a look at what last year’s MVP Kevin Durant saw his team do when he was out for the season, the former top contenders missed the playoffs.

Curry has that type of effect on his team.
