Kansas City Chiefs defensive star Eric Berry is retuning this season after beating cancer, and Chuck Pagano is a huge fan of this.

Cancer touches all of us, no matter who you are. Everyone knows someone who has had cancer, as there’s no seven degrees of separation that doesn’t lead you to someone who has had cancer. The NFL has had its experience with cancer, both in it’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month festivities, but also on a much darker level.

Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano had to take a leave in the middle of the season to battle cancer a few years ago and thankfully beat it. Last season, Kansas City Chiefs safety Eric Berry had to leave the team after a mass was found in his chest and he needed to fight cancer off.

Both men have since returned to the game and the support for one another is real.

Pagano, who is a cancer survivor himself, shelved the machismo of being all about your team to show support for Eric Berry at Colts training camp.

This is just damn cool.

It’s one thing to be all about your team and be hyper focused on winning at training camp — but Chuck Pagano isn’t your average coach. He won the support of the entire league with ‘ChuckStrong’ and he has been the face of endurance and perseverance in both the NFL and for those fighting cancer themselves.

Nagano showing support for Berry isn’t unexpected, and it’s probably the coolest thing you will see all training camp long.
