WR. Ole Miss. Laquon Treadwell. 15. player. 53. A few years ago it looked like the Browns had a top-tier wide receiver in the form of Josh Gordon, who at one time actually led the league in receiving. The future was looking bright in the Cleveland passing game but, well, we all know what happened there. Gordon basically got himself annexed from the NFL and the Browns now need a top-tier receiver again.
Well, you might not find another prospect better to fill that void than Ole Miss wide receiver Laquon Treadwell.

Treadwell burst onto the scene in 2013 for the Rebels, catching 72 balls for 608 yards and five touchdowns. Not jaw-dropping numbers by any means, but you can see something was there with the 6-2 phenom. Of course, he was on his way to a potential 1,000-yard season in 2014 when a gruesome leg injury cut that campaign short. However, he’s returned in 2015 and already has 510 yards on 35 catches with three touchdowns.

He can get loose down the field and he’s also quite skilled at getting up there and getting the ball at its highest point. Sometimes the Browns’ passing game isn’t always on point, but he can bail them out of a lot of situations.

Thinking down the road here, but this is someone that can maybe build some chemistry with Johnny Manziel, creating a potentially dangerous Cleveland offense for the next few years.
