player. 124. The Kansas City Chiefs have given up a staggering 22 sacks already this season. That is tied for the lead in the NFL. The Chiefs’ draft mission in the first round is clear, get offensive line help to protect quarterback Alex Smith and give him a chance to use his weapons in Jamaal Charles, Travis Kelce and Jeremy Maclin.

With Ronnie Stanley off the board, the Chiefs will select Ole Miss offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil. Not a horrible consolation prize for the Chiefs who get the second best player at the position, as we graded them, with the sixth overall pick, and some might say Tunsil is the best offensive lineman in the draft.

He is a dominant tackle who stays squared up to defenders well and handles them usually with ease. Tunsil still doesn’t appear to be as well rounded and polished as Stanley, getting a bit over eager at times.

The one thing Tunsil has working for him that perhaps Stnaley doesn’t is growing up in a pressure cooker and still shining through. Tunsil is a former five star recruit, who went to a big SEC school and has continually impressed. The NFL won’t daunt him in the slightest.
. OT. Ole Miss. Laremy Tunsil. 6
