CB. Florida. Vernon Hargreaves III. 5. player. 26. Vernon Hargreaves III was a huge get for the Florida Gators when he was coming out of high school, as many recognized him as one of the best defensive back prospects in years. Well, three seasons into his tenure in Gainesville, he’s not only proven to have lived up to that hype, but he’s now one of the best NFL prospects out there and a perfect fit for the Ravens.
We can see here in 2015 that the Ravens are no longer looking like the Ravens we know. That being said, it goes without saying that to get the Ravens back to prominence you start rebuilding with what they do best — defense. The selection of Hargreaves to put at one of the corners would get the wheels in motion for sure.

As far as in college football, there might not be a better cover corner in the game. When you talk about “lockdown,” Hargreaves is immediately at the top of the conversation. He’s grabbed nine interceptions in his career, but maybe more importantly, he’s tallied 24 passes defended. Point being: Don’t throw in his direction.

Going up twice a year against efficient passing offenses like the Steelers and Bengals, you can’t say that Hargreaves won’t come in handy right off the bat.
