QB Studs

Drew Brees-New Orleans Saints: Drew Brees had an outstanding game against a struggling Giants’ secondary.  Brees threw for an NFL-record-tying seven touchdowns while completing 40 of his 50 passes for 511 yards. He’s had an up-and-down year, but he was at his best in a big way as New Orleans beat New York 52-49.

Eli Manning-New York Giants: Eli did all he could to keep up with Brees throwing for six touchdowns and 350 yards.  He didn’t turn the ball over, but a late field goal after a big punt return cost the Giants the game 52-49.

Tom Brady-New England Patriots: Brady’s big game on Thursday Night Football ended up being a sign of things to come as QB’s had monster weeks this week.  Brady got the run started with his 356 yards and four touchdowns against a Miami defense that looked overwhelmed from the start.

Carson Palmer-Arizona Cardinals: Palmer had what would have been a headline day most weeks throwing for four touchdowns and 374 yards in the Cardinals win over the Browns.  His big day was eclipsed by the wildness in New Orleans, but he still had a good day for his fantasy owners.

Philip Rivers-San Diego Chargers: Even though the chargers couldn’t get the road win in Baltimore, Rivers stat line was solid.  He brought his owners 301 yards and three touchdowns in what would have been a great week if it wasn’t for the other QB’s that outperformed him.
