6. Michigan Stadium (Michigan)

Although Michigan has seen some down seasons in recent years with home-field advantage not necessarily a thing – just ask Appalachian State – but the introduction of Jim Harbaugh as head coach will likely change the way opponents look at a road game at The Big House in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Unlike the other stadiums listed here, the winningest program in the history of college football had an original field that was able to hold an unprecedented 72,000 all the way back in 1927 which happens to be as much or more than some of the current football stadiums on this list.

If you have never been to this stadium nicknamed “The Big House” because of its unbelievably large attendance records and ranked as the largest stadium in the United States with a capacity of about 110,000, you should be expected to feel like a sardine as you could probably guess, it’s not easy to squeeze that many people into a venue comfortably.

The record crowd even rose over 115,000 and the common response from visiting fans is that people are often sitting as close to each other as possible and often on top of each other. However, this is a cool stadium and it’s home to one of the all-time best, and largest, home-field advantages in sports history.
