7. Neyland Stadium (Tennessee)

Getting sick of SEC schools yet? Well, when you look at what each stadium has to offer, you become more appreciative of the structures, no matter what conference they happen to reside in. Tennessee’s Neyland Stadium is the fifth-largest in the nation, holding about 102,400 fans on Saturdays.

Many consider Neyland Stadium in Knoxville the perfect place to be on a Saturday afternoon or evening in the fall because of the tremendously enjoyable atmosphere before, during and after games.

Just because it’s enjoyable for all fans doesn’t exactly mean that opposing teams hate playing here. In fact, Neyland Stadium has one of the highest home winning rates in all of college football at about 78 percent.

The stadium is named after former head coach and athletic director, Robert Neyland, who was credited for putting the Volunteers on the map. He helped lead Tennessee to four of its six national titles from 1938-1951.

Although it’s one of the oldest stadiums in the country, the renovations and overall experience make it one of those “bucket list” destinations in which all college football fans should be planning a visit to.
