Hue Jackson

When Hue Jackson was fired after one season as head coach of the Oakland Raiders, many didn’t feel that Jackson got a fair shot as the Raiders head coach. Considering he led the Raiders to eight wins, which they have failed to reach since, it appears that he didn’t get a fair shot.

He returned to Cincinnati, where he has been the offensive coordinator the last two seasons. With the way the Bengals offense is performing this season, Jackson is already being talked about as one of the top head coaching candidates in the off-season.

There’s no doubt he will have many teams trying to get an interview with him. Should the Eagles and Chip Kelly decide to call it quits, then Jackson should be one of the guys that they target as their next head coach.

Andy Dalton has seen remarkable improvement under Jackson, along with the 2015 season seeing the rise of Tyler Eifert as a dominant receiving threat in this league. With the Bengals being one of the top teams in the AFC, it speaks to the depth of the roster and the tremendous coaching from the top down.

He’s served time under many great coaches in his time as a coordinator and positions coach. He’s even had a go-around as a head coach. There’s no reason he shouldn’t be afforded another opportunity to coach a team, and he might just be the perfect fit for a pressure-filled situation like the Eagles.
