Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles have holes that they need to fill after this season, with perhaps the biggest hole being at the quarterback position. Sam Bradford is clearly not an option because he can’t stay healthy. Even when he has been healthy, he’s been mediocre at best. Everyone knows what Mark Sanchez is, at this point, not a franchise quarterback. The Eagles will likely end up with a high draft pick, but this isn’t a very good draft for quarterbacks. The Eagles should be willing to give Johnny Manziel a chance. He’s a lot better than most of their other options.

The Eagles need a dynamic quarterback who can make plays if they want to return to the playoffs next season. Johnny Manziel is definitely a dynamic dual-threat quarterback. He proved at Texas A&M that he can make plays with both his arm and his legs, and throughout the years, the Eagles have had success with quarterbacks like that. Donovan McNabb did great things in Philly and Manziel has the skill set to have the same kind of impact if his mind is right.

Trading for Manziel (or signing him if the Browns cut him) would give the Eagles a cheap quarterback who could provide a ton of value. That would allow them to upgrade their team in other ways. Considering how many holes they have, the Eagles should consider filling the quarterback position with a cheap QB, who better than Johnny Manziel?
