High Salary C

Sidney Crosby-Pittsburgh Penguins ($7,500): On a night where you are limited in your fantasy options, Pittsburgh’s Sidney Crosby has to be one of your top targets. He has top skills and has talented players all around him. He has 18 points this season, including five points in his last five games. He’s consistently one of the best fantasy players available and has a good matchup in Colorado tonight. Take him and enjoy the numbers.

Joe Pavelski-San Jose Sharks ($7,600): Pavelski seems to show up on this list often, but it’s hard to argue with his production. He’s the top center on a very talented team and is a threat to rack up points at any time. Edmonton struggles, especially on defense, making this a juicy matchup for Pavelski. He was held off the scoresheet in Tuesday’s loss to Calgary but has points in five of his last seven. The price is high tonight but the matchup is good.

High Value C

Tomas Plekanec-Montreal Canadiens ($5,800): The Montreal Canadiens are the best team in the Eastern Conference and trail only the Dallas Stars as the highest-scoring team in the league. Several Canadiens are always worth a look in fantasy and Tomas Plekanec is no exception. He has 25 points in 28 games with seven goals and 18 assists. Playing on a good line and and seeing a lot of ice time means Plekanec is a great source of production. He hasn’t scored a goal in over a month, but don’t let that scare you away. Take him and hope the assists add up tonight.

Logan Couture-San Jose Sharks ($6,500): Couture price may be a bit too high to be considered a value pick, but it won’t below $7,000 for long, so take advantage while you can now. He has missed 23 game with a broken fibula and is now fully healthy. He knows how to score the puck and can stuff the scoresheet each time he’s on the ice. He did play last night in Calgary and picked up an assist. Taking a player returning from a long absence on the second night of a back-to-back may seem a bit risky, but take your chances with him. His ownership may stay low tonight, meaning you can reap the benefits of using him in your lineup.

Henrik Sedin-Vancouver Canucks ($5,000): Sedin doesn’t stand out as the top-notch fantasy producer he once was, but that doesn’t mean there’s no value there. He has 27 points in 29 games this season and still plays as the top-line center for the Canucks and also sees extensive time on the power play. He scored a goal his last time out and has four points in his last four games. The New York Rangers present a tough matchup, but Sedin will have plenty of opportunities to get you some fantasy points tonight.
