High Salary PG

John Wall-Washington Wizards (9,900): Wall is the big name on the board tonight at any position and his recent run of production makes him a hard option to fade since there is plenty of ways to make up his salary with value options elsewhere.  Wall has a double-double in eight straight games with at least 19 points in six of those contests including each of his last four.  Wall is carrying the Wizards offense right now and has at least 44 fantasy points in each of his last eight games and at least 50 in five of those contests.  The only thing that keeps him from being a five-star is that the Heat allow the second-fewest fantasy points to opposing PG. ∗∗∗

Brandon Knight-Phoenix Suns (7,400): Knight is likely the only other PG over 6K that we’ll know for sure is going to play when the 6:00 roster locks. Damian Lillard is expected to be a true gametime decision.  Knight is actually a pretty good play in his own right although he did play 32 minutes yesterday in the Suns loss in Sacramento.  Knight finished that game with 23 points, five boards, five assists, and a steal for a total of 39.25 fantasy points. It was his best performance in his last ten games and he now has three games of at least 35 fantasy points in his last six contests.

Knight will be asked to shoulder the scoring load again tonight while the Suns continue to scramble after the loss of Eric Bledsoe for the season. In good news for Knight and his investors, he’s in a great place to succeed tonight as he takes on the Lakers who allow the most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PG.  When he faced LA earlier this season, Knight had 30 points, 15 assists, and ten rebounds on his way to a triple double while also chipping in four steals for good measure. In such a good matchup and carrying so much of the scoring load, look for a big game from Knight as long as he isn’t weary from the beating the Suns took yesterday. ∗∗∗
