The NBA has five games on tapĀ for this Sunday as we close out the weekend. Those five games set us up with ten teams to pick from as we build DFS fantasy basketball lineups for today. There are three different windows you can play in with āall-dayā competitions, āearly-onlyā focused on the two afternoon games, and ālate-onlyā with the three evening contest. Whatever window youāre planning on play in today, check out my DraftKingsĀ daily picks on the following slides. In the analysis portion of the picks, Iāve stuck to just the evening games since those are the āmainā competition for today, but to see my lineups for all three DraftKings windows check out the final slide of the post.

Yesterday, inĀ my first full post of the New Year, I rolled out a new feature in my daily picks. Ā Each one of my picks will be ranked for the day on a scale of one to five stars. Picks that I give five stars (āāāāā) are players that you almostĀ have to own and I have no reservations about owning at their price.Ā Players that get four stars (āāāā) are players that I think are strong picks to build your roster around. Ā Three-star players (āāā) are middle-of-the-road solid picks who are fairly reliable to produce a good game. Picks receiving two stars (āā) are high-risk, high-reward players who do offer enough upside to be in my picks, but also have a significant risk factor that makes them dangerous. Ā One star (ā) players are picks that are the best option around that price point, but who I donāt think are great options. Ā I would take any one-star player over any option not in my picks, but they arenāt picks I would build my roster around. As part of my new format ofĀ coverage, my plan is to track the points-per-dollar return from each of the categories in the coming month and report how many fantasy points are returned for each star-level of picks. Today, the NBA action starts at 3:30 PM ET with a pair of games as as the Knicks host the Hawks and the Raptors welcome in the Bulls. Ā The main fantasy basketball competitions tip off at 6:00 PM ET when the evening slate officially starts with the Wizards hosting the Heat. Ā At 9:00 the Nuggets and Blazers meetĀ for the second time this week, and the night wraps up with the Lakers hosting the struggling Suns at 9:30.
