High Salary PG

Chris Paul-Los Angeles Clippers (9,800): With no Curry, Wall, or Westbrook, CP3 gets the rare chance to be the most expensive option at PG tonight.  Paul had 69 fantasy points on Monday in the Clippers last game on 28 points, 12 assists, and six steals.  He has at least 49 fantasy points in five of his last six games, and he should be in a place to succeed tonight on the road in Cleveland.  The Cavs have Kyrie Irving back as their starter, but his defense isn’t exactly why they pay him the big bucks, so look for Paul to continue to find success. The only reason he’s risky is his cost–he’ll have to do a lot to return value at this price point. ∗∗

Rajon Rondo-Sacramento Kings (8,500): Rondo was a five-star play for me last night and he finished with a very solid 11 points, five rebounds, and 17 assists. He had 42.75 fantasy points against LA, but he’ll be in a tougher matchup tonight as he leads the Kings against the Hawks.  Sacramento picked up nice wins in LA, and coming home they’ll face a Hawks team on the road for the second night in a row after knocking off Portland last night.  I think Atlanta may be dealing with some fatigue and that Rondo makes a good but not great play tonight. ∗∗∗

Jrue Holiday-New Orleans Pelicans (6,500): Holiday is listed as a starter for the Pelicans after the injury to Eric Gordon opened up a spot at the two-guard.  He and Tyreke Evans will likely share ball-handling responsibilities, but as a result of Evans knee issues Holiday should get plenty of work.  He has been playing well lately with at least 32 fantasy points in six of his last nine games and at least 36 fantasy points in each of his last three games.  Tonight, the Pelicans host the Pistons who just played the Rockets last night, so Holiday should be able to take advantage of some tired legs on the Detroit side.  His new role as a starter and his recent form make him one of the best plays of the day.

Mike Conley-Memphis Grizzlies (6,200): Conley returned from a six-game layoff on Monday against the Pelicans and quickly made his presence felt with 15 points and ten assists in just 27 minutes to total 34.25 fantasy points. He should be in a good place to succeed again tonight as the Grizz travel to Denver where they’ll face the Nuggets who are the fifth-worst team in the NBA defending opposing PG. Conley didn’t seem limited by the injury and should be a full go for tonight.
