3. Chicago Bears

After releasing Matt Forte, the Chicago Bears need to find a starting running back for the 2016 season. Why not Arian Foster? Foster and Forte are quite similar in terms of their playing styles. Both are versatile offensive weapons who are equally dangerous running the ball as they are catching the ball out of the backfield. Chicago had a lot of success with Forte so why not sign someone who might as well be Forte’s clone?

Foster’s injury concerns shouldn’t scare the Bears too much because they have solid depth. Chicago isn’t going to be competitive if they don’t have a clear number one running back. Foster could easily be that guy for the Bears. He would have to take a pay cut for it to make sense, but perhaps Foster is at the stage in his career when he is willing to do that to play for the team that he wants to play for.

Signing Arian Foster would be a risky move for the Bears with his health, but it could pay off huge. Teams would have to respect what Foster can do out of the backfield. That would open things up for their receivers and more importantly, for quarterback Jay Cutler.
