Owner Stephen Ross has made no secret that he is willing to spend some of his fortune on actually making the Dolphins a decent team again. By getting Ndamukong Suh and others to rework their deals, Miami has the money to go make a big splash in the 2016 offseason. Just this weekend, the Dolphins parted ways with veteran Greg Jennings, leaving an opening in a wide receivers room with Jarvis Landry, Kenny Stills and a group of other no-names that are expendable and haven’t earned their paychecks over the past few seasons. Victor Cruz wouldn’t have to be the start attraction in South Florida, but a valuable role player and new target for Ryan Tannehill.

Tannehill is at the point in his career where there is still plenty of doubt about what he can do on the field. He has gone through receivers like they are pieces of paper over his career, but somehow still is the starter in Miami.

It may be a situation where Victor Cruz decides it isn’t the best spot at this point in his career, but Ross might just be willing to overpay to get another name on the sidelines at Sun Life Stadium for the 2016 season.
