Victor Cruz might have something left in the tank, but which NFL team will take a chance on him?

In the coming days, more and more NFL players will be finding out they are not wanted by their current franchises and will need to find a new home for the 2016 season. One of those could be wide receiver Victor Cruz.

Once the main man for Big Blue, Cruz hasn’t touched the field for the Giants since Week Six of the 2014 campaign, when he suffered a torn patellar tendon that ended his season. 2015 was also a wash after he underwent calf surgery that put him on injured reserve. His potential was sky high when he first started salsa dancing his way into our hearts — and Campbell soup commercials — but the best years of his career seem to be behind him.

That doesn’t mean his entire career is behind him though. Cruz might have something left in the tank and there are a handful of NFL teams that should take a chance on him.

Some like the Baltimore Ravens would love to get Cruz, but money stands in the way. There are fits with teams like the Packers, Patriots and other contenders who have receiver needs, but they might not throw the most money at him — which could be what Cruz is after since he only has one good contract left him, if that.

Here’s a look at five potential landing spots for Cruz should he be released by the Giants this week.
