FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-March 12
High Salary PG
Stephen Curry-Golden State Warriors (10,600): Curry is in an amazing matchup tonight against the Suns who allow the second-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PG. He only played 29 minutes last night but still managed 44.6 fantasy points. I would take Curry over Westbrook for tonight because he’s in a much easier matchup, and I think he’ll go off for as long as he’s on the court. There is risk with spending this much on Curry when the game could turn into a blowout but he is one of my favorite elite PG options tonight although there is a solid group of good options once again with five elite plays over 9K all of whom have the potential for a monster night.∗∗
John Wall-Washington Wizards (9,700): Wall and the Wizards lost last night to the Jazz struggling on the defensive end and dropping their fourth in a row. Wall finished the night one assists short of a double-double with 40.3 fantasy points on 24 points, nine assists, and four rebounds. He has at least 40 fantasy points in three straight and in seven of his last ten games. He should be in a good matchup to attack tonight in Denver since the Nuggets have allowed the ninth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PG on the season. They have been doing better lately, but I think Wall will carry a heavy offensive workload in a game the should end up pretty high-scoring tonight. ∗∗∗
Damian Lillard-Portland Trail Blazers (9,600): Lillard was a letdown last night with just 17 points and 28.9 fantasy points against the Warriors in 30 minutes. HE had been rolling and still has over 57 fantasy points in two of his last four games. Tonight, he’ll come home where he has been excellent, and he’ll take on the Magic who have allowed the second-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PG over their last five games. Lillard has over 39 fantasy points in each of his last three home games including a 64.5 fantasy-point performance against Wall and the Wizards on Tuesday in his last home game. With Elfrid Payton dealing with an elbow injury, Lillard should be in a mismatch most of the night, and since he carries the Blazers offensive workload I think he’ll bounce back with a monster game tonight. ∗∗∗∗
Jrue Holiday-New Orleans Pelicans (8,200): Holiday had over 45 fantasy points for the third straight game last night finishing with 50 fantasy points in 41 minutes against the Grizzlies. Holiday scored 34 points and added ten assists and five rebounds as he tried to carry the Pelicans past the under-manned Grizzlies. Holiday played 36 minutes or more in each of his last four games and will see a heavy workload again tonight against the Bucks who have lost O.J. Mayo and Michael Carter-Williams from their PG spot. Holiday will probably start opposite Jerryd Bayless in a matchup he should be able to attack and exploit tonight. ∗∗∗∗
Goran Dragic-Miami Heat (6,600): In a matchup of two of the teams that give up the fewest fantasy points to opposing PG, the Heat are in Toronto tonight as “The Dragon” takes on Kyle Lowry. Dragic has been excellent since the All Star break and had a monster game in Chicago last night scoring 26 points to go with nine assists on hie way to 46.1 fantasy points. He has at least 35 fantasy points in five of his last six and is still very under-priced as the Heat continue their strong playoff push without Chris Bosh. With Bosh returning, Dragic may step back at some point this season, but for now he’s one of the top options in the Miami offense and has been excelling next to Dwyane Wade who was a gametime decision last night and ended up playing but struggling offensively. Dragic has been a huge boost to his DFS owners and to Miami since the break and he should be able to keep it up tonight although he will have his hands full stoping Lowry on the defensive end. ∗∗∗∗
Emmanuel Mudiay-Denver Nuggets (6,200): Mudiay has also picked up his game recently and has scored at least 15 points in five straight games for the Nuggets with at least 29.9 fantasy points in each of those contests. Mudiay had a career-high 30 points on Thursday against the Suns and added solid peripherals as usual to get to 37.9 fantasy points. He has over 37 fantasy points in four of his last five games and will face a Wizards team tonight that can’t seem to get things togeterh on the defensive end of the floor. ∗∗∗∗∗
