After a 2015 season where the newest team in the MLB’s American League went all the way to the Championship Series and was just several games away from the second World Series in franchise history, expectations are high in the Lone Star State for 2016.

So far, the Astros are just 5-8 through the first two weeks of the season and have fans wondering if last year was just going to be a one shot deal. Through the first two weeks of the season, Houston is ranked 14th in the MLB in batting (sixth in the American League) while sitting at 27th in pitching (dead last in the AL).

We know it’s early and things can turn around in a heart beat, but when the Astros came into the 2016 season as one of the favorites in the MLB to make it to the World Series, this start to the year is the worst thing that could happen to a team that needs to keep as much momentum going from the 2015 campaign as possible if they want to get back to the postseason and make it to the Fall Classic this year.
