Catcher

High-Salary Option: Jonathan Lucroy-Milwaukee Brewers (4,600): Lucroy has always been a streaky hitter and he’s on fire right now going 10-19 over the past week for a sizzling .526 average including a double, triple, and home run.  Lucroy is hitting .351 this year at home, and will look to keep that train rolling tonight as the Brewers host the A’s. He’s scheduled to face Sean Manaea who comes in with a 6.16 ERA and a .298 BAA (batting average against).  Manaea has only made one start on the road this season and it went disastrously meaning he comes in with a 0-1 record away from the Bay with a 27.00 ERA in road starts.  Lucroy is in matchup to attack tonight and is the hottest bat you can get behind the plate.∗∗

Mid-range Option: J.T. Realmuto-Miami Marlins (3,400): Realmuto also comes into tonight’s contest swinging a hot bat as he and the Marlins head to Minnesota for an interleague set.  Realmuto is hitting .301 on the season after a hot .412 over the last week.  He doesn’t hit for much power, but is a solid source of average and has hit safely in six of his last nine starts.  He’s in a good matchup against lefty Pat Dean tonight so go with Realmuto as a safe mid-range play tonight.

High-Value Option: Nick Hundley-Colorado Rockies (3,100): Hundley missed a month with an oblique injury, but he returned this past weekend and has jumped right back in to the Rockies lineup.  He went 1-3 with an RBI against the Dodgers last night and is 4-14 since his return with a 2B, a run scored, an RBI, and a walk.  He will probably be behind the plate for the Rox again tonight as they take on youngster Julio Urias.
