NFL Mock Draft: Week 1
5. Cleveland Browns (via Philadelphia Eagles): Jabrill Peppers, DB, Michigan
The Browns acquired this pick from the Eagles from trading down in the 2016 NFL Draft. If we learned anything about the Browns’ front office in the 2016 draft, it is that they like to trade down and they love productive college players with physical upside.
Jabrill Peppers is an athletic freak who has played a variety of roles for the University of Michigan. Whether he plays cornerback, safety, linebacker or a hybrid in the NFL, Peppers is a play-maker who would make an immediate impact for the Browns’ defense.
6. Detroit Lions: Jalen Tabor, CB, Flordia
Jalen Tabor is one of the most physically gifted players in college football. He is an absolute shut down cornerback in the making.
With obvious questions at the cornerback position, Tabor would make a ton of sense for the Lions. He will be a star at the next level if he can stay out of trouble off the field.
7. Miami Dolphins: Leonard Fournette, RB, LSU
The 2017 running back class is absolutely loaded with talent, with Leonard Fournette being the biggest name of the bunch. Fournette is an extremely powerful back who also shows great quickness and balance with the ball in his hands.
Fournette would be an immediate impact player for the Dolphins and a massive upgrade over an aging Arian Foster.
8. New Orleans Saints: Brad Kaaya, QB, Miami
Drew Brees is great, but he will undoubtedly be looking into retirement plans soon. The Saints would be wise to figure out his replacement sooner, rather than later.

Brad Kaaya has all of the tools to become a top of the line quarterback at the next level. His inconsistency on the field up until this point in his career is less than ideal, but Kaaya is expected to improve this season under head coach Mark Richt.
