Before the bulk of the Week 1 games, let’s take a look at a first round 2017 NFL Mock Draft.

Who says it’s too early? NFL Draft season never ends. Using the NFL Power Rankings by FanSided’s Matt Verderame to determine the draft order, let’s look ahead with a 2017 NFL Mock Draft.

1. Cleveland Browns: Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson

If the Robert Griffin III experiment works out in 2016, the Browns will probably not be looking for a quarterback. They also probably will not be making the first overall selection.

However, if RGIII does not appear to be the Browns’ quarterback of the future, Deshaun Watson would be a fantastic fit for the team. A true dual threat player who can dominate both with his arm and legs, Watson is an NFL star in the making.

2. San Francisco 49ers: DeShone Kizer, QB, Notre Dame

It seems incredibly unlikely that either Blaine Gabbert or Colin Kaepernick is the 49ers’ plan A at the QB position going forward. With that in mind, they will probably be looking to solidify the most important position in the game in the 2017 draft.

Despite suffering a loss, DeShone Kizer put his skills on full display in Week 1 of the college football season. Kizer has a legitimate NFL arm and high-level athleticism for the quarterback position.

He may not be quite on the level of Watson yet, but Kizer has an extremely bright NFL future ahead of him.

3. Tennessee Titans: Myles Garrett, EDGE, Texas A&M

The top defensive prospect in college football, Myles Garrett shows an incredible skill-set that will translate well to the next level. He blends quickness, power, and raw athleticism extremely well to create pressure on the quarterback and is a strong defender against the run as well.

The Titans are simply in the process of acquiring more talent with Garrett undoubtedly fitting that bill.

4. Atlanta Falcons: Carl Lawson, EDGE, Auburn

The Falcons have been looking to improve their pass rush for many years. While Vic Beasley has shown some promise, he could certainly use a running mate on the other side.

Carl Lawson shows big-time upside as a speed rusher from the outside. Injuries have been an issue for Lawson, but he undoubtedly has the talent to be a top-five selection.
