4. Amba Etta-Tawo, WR, Syracuse Orange

The Syracuse Orange have a high-powered offense, as Dino Babers’ loves to go, go, go. Luckily for Amba Etta-Tawo, he has been the beneficiary of that philosophy and is putting up prolific numbers for the Orange. Etta-Tawo absolutely shredded the University of Connecticut defense on Saturday, breaking records along the way.

Etta-Tawo transferred to Syracuse back in March, leaving the University of Maryland after being low on the team’s depth chart. Last year, Etta-Tawo only racked up 216 receiving yards for the Terps, a number he easily eclipsed in this Saturday’s game alone. Making the move to Syracuse was a great decision, and Orange fans have a legitimate playmaker playing in the Carrier Dome.

Against UConn, Etta-Tawo racked up an incredible 270 yards receiving. The total set the single-game record for the program, and really put him on the map. This past week, Etta-Tawo was added to the Fred Biletnikoff Watch List, which is the award given to the nation’s best receiver.

Through the first four games of the 2016 season, Etta-Tawo already has 706 yards receiving. He is averaging 17 yards per catch and has already doubled his catch total from a year ago. In fact, Etta-Tawo had only 61 catches in his three seasons at Maryland, a total he is sure to demolish in 2016.
