High Salary Forward – Part 3

Nneka Ogwumike – Los Angeles Sparks ($7,300): This is getting ridiculous with the prices. Nneka Ogwumike at $7,300? Really? Granted, she hasn’t been performing well as of late, averaging only 11 points and six boards over the last three games. However, we are talking about a player who is averaging 19 points, eight rebounds and nearly two steals per game this season. It is inevitable that she is going to get back on track and I have a feeling it will be against Chicago.

Candice Dupree – Indiana Fever ($6,800): Candice Dupree played very well against the Lynx just a few weeks ago, scoring 31 points and grabbing nine boards. Most people will see a matchup against Minnesota and stay clear of it, but Dupree has demonstrated that she can perform efficiently against them. Not my favorite pick but you never know how things will turn out.

Next: The 10 greatest mustaches in NBA history

Isabelle Harrison – San Antonio Stars ($6,300): We have a lot of potential up front on Friday night. Big fantasy points will be up for grabs and there are a lot of ladies up front who will be producing them. Isabelle Harrison is another player capable of playing efficiently on any given night so it would be an injustice to exclude her from this post. Harrison is coming off a 44 point fantasy performance against the Chicago Sky last week and has carved out a spot on a Stars team that is searching for an identity moving forward. Even though they won’t see the playoffs this season, they have been playing very well as of late, winning four out of their last five games with Harrison being part of the reason why. She has hit at least 20 fantasy points in 11 out her last 12 games and though she might not get you 44 fantasy points again like she did against Chicago, she can always be depended on for production.

Value plays to consider:

Alysha Clark – Seattle Storm ($4,000)

Jantel Lavender – Los Angeles Sparks ($3,400)

Plenette Pierson – Minnesota Lynx ($3,000)
