12. Big Cass def. The Big Show

Match time: 10:30

Enzo Amore cut another awful promo before getting into the shark cage and he was just as annoying during the match. There wasn’t a ton of action in this one anyway given the competitors involved, which is perhaps why they had him up there in the first place.

They played up The Big Show’s “broken” hand angle quite a bit in the early part of this match as Big Cass kicked it, and outside of Enzo, that was the main focus as this nonsense went on. This match, we knew, was going to be as slow as it turned out, so did Cass really need to put on an armbar? The crowd certainly didn’t appreciate it and the “boring” chants came in from the Brooklyn audience early and often.

Show adjusted by using his left arm for clotheslines and things, which only made things look more awkward. The chokeslam didn’t look that bad but it didn’t help much. The action moved to the outside and we got the obligatory “hand into the post” spot. It was at about this point Enzo started to strip down and lube up in order to free himself from the shark cage, which seemed to make everyone very uncomfortable. The thing is that it just wasn’t funny. I’ll admit to not liking Enzo at all but I have laughed at a few of his antics in the past. This was not one of those times.

The beautiful part in all of this was that he didn’t cost Big Cass the match. Instead, Enzo finally did free himself and it meant absolutely nothing as he dropped down and immediately took a boot to the face. Hilarious. Cass then hit one on Show but it wasn’t enough. The second one was and Cass got the 1-2-3 with his former partner still laid out. This match should not have been on the main card and hopefully Big Cass can get away from this entire thing and leave Enzo behind for good.
