From worst to first, here’s how the matches from the 30th edition of WWE SummerSlam stack up against one another.

WWE SummerSlam celebrated its 30th appearance on Sunday night in Brooklyn and while I wouldn’t go as far as saying it was the “biggest party of the summer” as advertised, there were certainly some moments and matches that were unforgettable. Unfortunately, there were probably more moments and matches that actually were forgettable and that’s not something you want in the second-biggest event of the year.

Coming in at almost exactly four hours this year, the main show featured 10 matches, six of which were for titles, while the kickoff show featured two title matches and a random six-man tag match that really nobody saw in person. Normally, I wouldn’t get into the matches from the preview show but seeing as this is SummerSlam and the fact it also featured one of the best matches of the evening, I’ll go ahead and throw them in here as well.

So without further ado, let’s rank each and every match from the 2017 edition of WWE SummerSlam.

13. Randy Orton def. Rusev

Match time: 0:10

You can’t even really call this a match but seeing as the bell actually did ring after Rusev attacked Randy Orton during his introduction, I do have to count it. I almost feel bad for the Bulgarian Brute. Ever since his return, he’s been thrown into programs with John Cena and Randy Orton and has been squashed by them both.

Randy Orton has lost a lot of matches to Jinder Mahal recently so I understand him getting a win —  but not this way. I think that these two could actually put on a decent match if given some time (and if Randy’s into it) but this was a joke. Rusev attacks before the bell, Orton hits the RKO out of nowhere and wins. Nothing to see here.
