Running Backs: Leonard Fournette, Jacksonville Jaguars-$7,600; Ty Montgomery, Green Bay Packers-$6,500

Fournette had a nice NFL debut, with 26 carries for an even 100 yards and a touchdown with three catches for 24 yards against the Houston Texans in Week 1. Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans is not a great matchup based on Week 1, but Raiders’ running back Marshawn Lynch had some success last Sunday (18 carries for 76 yards, one catch for 16 yards) that could be a floor for Fournette as a workhorse back.

The Jaguars clearly want to limit Blake Bortles’ effect on games, with the running game and Fournette the center of that effort. As long as Sunday’s game stays fairly close, Fournette should push toward 25-30 touches again.

The looming demise of Montgomery was greatly exaggerated, as least for a week as he played 90 percent of Green Bay’s offensive snaps (74 of 82) in Week 1 and delivered 93 total yards (54 rushing) on 23 touches (19 carries) with a rushing touchdown. The Atlanta Falcons allowed a similarly skilled running back to burn them in Week 1, as Bears’ rookie Tarik Cohen had 113 total yards, eight receptions (on 12 targets) and a receiving touchdown, and Montgomery will get his shot on Sunday night.

Montgomery looks like a remarkable value play in FanDuel this week, in what should be a high-scoring game. The top wide receivers on both sides, and both quarterbacks, are at or near the top of the salary scale along with Falcons’ running back Devonta Freeman. Montgomery, on the other hand, is cheaper than teammate wide receiver Davante Adams. Sign me up.
