2. Tennessee Titans

After looking horrible in the preseason, and then being beat 26-16 in Week 1 at home against the Oakland Raiders, the Tennessee Titans needed to get off the mat. On Sunday, they did exactly that against the Jacksonville Jaguars, scoring 37 point en route to a rout at EverBank Field.

Tennessee wasn’t perfect, but it didn’t have to be considering the opponent. Jacksonville could do nothing offensively without Allen Robinson, who was lost for the year last weekend against the Houston Texans. Blake Bortles was sacked twice and threw a pair of interceptions, while Tennessee ran the ball for 179 yards on five yards per carry.

However, the Titans should remain concerned about Marcus Mariota, who struggled against Jacksonville. Mariota only completed 15-of-27 passes for 215 yards with a touchdown and an interception, despite excellent protection and a dominant rushing attack.

The Titans had to find a way to win this game and did so, making it one of the most important wins of the day. Tennessee plays in the worst division in football, but the Titans couldn’t afford to go two games back while dropping a contest to the lowly Jaguars. There is plenty to improve on, but mission accomplished for Mike Mularkey and Co.
