1. Denver Broncos

The Broncos were supposed to be a faltering, aging team going into 2017. Instead, Denver looks like a strong contender to make the playoffs after missing them in 2016 with a 9-7 record. After beating the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday night of Week 1, the Broncos came out on a short week and hammered the Dallas Cowboys.

Give credit where it is due. Trevor Siemian will never be confused with one of the elite quarterbacks in the game, but he sliced and diced Dallas for a quartet of passing touchdowns. Meanwhile, C.J. Anderson went for more than 100 yards from scrimmage. It was a demolition for a team that was an underdog at home, showcasing why nobody should sleep on them moving forward.

The Broncos are playing in the brutally competitive AFC West, including the Oakland Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs who are both 2-0 after their victories on Sunday. If Denver can continue to keep the train rolling, the division should be a three-way race, with all of them having a good chance to play January football.
