Start: Philip Rivers, Los Angeles Chargers vs. San Francisco 49ers

Phillip Rivers has the Los Angeles Chargers running at full tilt. This is an explosive group that can hurt a defense in multiple ways. It helps that the offensive line is playing well which is something Rivers hasn’t had in a while.

The development of wide receiver Mike Williams has also opened an other element to the offense. His size and leaping ability allows Rivers to take a few more risks.

Williams also helps with the team’s red zone efficiency. Rivers just has so many options that it’s tough for an opposing defense to shut them down. His overall play this past week wasn’t great, but he still did well in fantasy terms.

Rivers has a great matchup coming against a depleted San Francisco 49ers team.

Sit: Jared Goff, Los Angeles Rams vs. Minnesota Vikings

Jared Goff leads arguably the most explosive offense in the NFL. However, this week they face a hungry Minnesota Vikings defense. The Vikings are looking to bounce back after getting embarrassed against the Buffalo Bills.

Minnesota features a healthy collection of pass rushers and cornerbacks. This is a defense capable of making life uncomfortable for even the most talented quarterbacks.
