The Indianapolis Colts went into the 2018 NFL season with plenty question marks, as they were hoping on Andrew Luck being healthy enough to lead this team in the foreseeable future. They got all of that and more, as Luck once again proved to be one of the best quarterbacks in football, throwing 39 touchdowns in his return to the starting lineup after missing nearly two full seasons.

The fact of the matter is, the Colts are going to be one of the best teams in the AFC next season, as they not only have a loaded roster, but the most salary-cap space in the NFL this off-season. The team invested in their offensive line over the last couple of seasons, as they needed to keep Luck upright, and it certainly paid dividends for them in 2018.

Not only did the Colts make a return trip to the playoffs, but they actually won a game, as they went on the road and beat divisional foe Houston in the Wild Card round. Though they would lose in the Divisional Round to the Kansas City Chiefs, the stage is set for them to return to the top of the AFC very soon.

With their first round pick in 2019, the Colts should focus their pick on the defensive side of the ball, and bring in a player like Christian Wilkins from Clemson. Wilkins is a guy who is strong enough to really disrupt any team’s game plan in the backfield, and on this Indianapolis team, he would provide them with the kind of brute force in the middle that they have been lacking the last couple of seasons.
