Rip it up and start again

Much like her meeting with Xia Brookside a few weeks back, Rhea Ripley’s match with Kacy Catanzaro shows just how dominant the former NXT UK Women’s Champion can be. Losing the title and being shuffled out of the hunt for it hasn’t slowed down her momentum one bit.

The size difference is notable, almost laughable. Catanzaro looks like a child compared to Ripley. Like Carrillo and Mendoza, Catanzaro tries to utilize her freaky-impressive athleticism and agility to get the best of her opponent, but Ripley is way too focused and angry to overcome.

After some artful dodging, Catanzaro goes to the second rope for a crossbody. Ripley flat out rejects that guff however, catching her and hitting the Riptide for the win. It’s not enough for Ripley to just prove she’s dominant though, she needs to prove she’s the most dominant woman in NXT UK. Cue the post-match attack where Ripley beats up on the already beaten-up Catanzaro, ultimately locking her in an inverted Cloverleaf submission.

Apparently however, being physically domineering also isn’t enough, because Ripley takes the time to taunt Catanzaro more once they’re both backstage. But then Piper Niven enters and she quiets down real quick. Get these two into the ring together soon. We the people deserve to know definitively who the most dominant woman in NXT UK is.
