Behold the power of the WWE Universe. One week after the War Raiders were renamed the Viking Experience, their name has been changed again. Check out their new name here.

Last week on Monday Night Raw, the WWE Universe loudly voiced their displeasure over the name change the NXT Tag Team Champions the War Raiders underwent, and one week later the WWE has responded. They are no longer the Viking Experience, they will now be known as the Viking Raiders, a play off the War Raiders name that was used in NXT and the Viking Experience name that Vince McMahon apparently stumbled upon last minute, last Monday.

The name change is already up on WWE.com as the company has quietly made the change to the name prior to this week’s episode of Raw. Unfortunately, it seems that the names “Erik” and “Ivar” will remain intact. Despite everyone wanting the original names of Hanson and Rowe to return, it looks like the WWE Universe will have to settle for this compromise.

We do find it surprising that WWE actually buckled under the pressure of the WWE Universe’s complaints in the first place to make the Viking Experience a thing of the past. But it does show the power of social media in 2019; if an audience’s voices are loud enough they can impact change in the current product.

The current NXT Tag Team Champions are scheduled to defend the titles this Wednesday on NXT against the Street Profits. It will be interesting to see what name they go under later on this week when they put those titles on the line in what is probably one of their final appearances for the black and gold brand.
