DraftKings college football running back picks November 15

Top Tier:

Louisiana Tech will run several backs, but Justin Henderson gets the most volume and has the most upside. The 15 rushing touchdowns is just gravy. Henderson has found the end zone at least twice in four straight games and has scored in all but one game for the Bulldogs this season. Touchdowns are expensive, but worth it. And with the suspensions coming down, you know the Bulldogs are going to run a whole lot more than usual.

Ronnie Rivers has three straight games over 100 yards rushing, but that streak could end here. The Aztecs only allow 65.3 rushing yards per game this season. I really like Rivers, but the matchup wont get any tougher than this. Caveat emptor. The silver lining is that Rivers has also scored at least two touchdowns in four straight games. Even if the yards aren’t there, Rivers could still come through with a solid game.

Middle Tier:

Brenden Knox has 637 of his 933 rushing yards in the over the last five games. He has taken control of this backfield. The Bulldogs are solid in run defense, but probably not solid enough to keep Knox under the century mark. However, when comparing Knox to the other top backs on this slate, his touchdowns are well below River and Henderson.

This San Diego State backfield is a total mess. Washington had 12 carries last week. Jordan Byrd had ten. Chase Jasmin had nine, and he was the most productive of the three. If you feel like playing roulette, be my guest. I’ll be counting my money from Henderson.

Bargain Shoppers:

It has been Israel Tucker, not Jaqwis Dancy, seeing the bulk of the action behind Henderson. Dancy got a lot of work in the passing game early on, but he has not caught a pass in two games. If you want to use a backup, use Tucker. His usage rate is high enough that he’s safer than any San Diego State back. I don’t see the Bulldogs running Henderson 30 times either, so I see double digit carries for Tucker. I could even see Dancy getting back into the offensive scheme here.
