Houston Texans and 4 other teams that need to change their uniforms right now

Atlanta Falcons
Plot twist!
The Falcons changed up their uniforms this offseason and already it’s time to do it again. This is less about needing to change the look and more about getting it right before it’s too late. Atlanta had a perfect opportunity to give fans uniforms they could be proud of but instead decided “The Longest Yard, but in real life” was the route to take.
It’s very simple: Bring back the 90s look.
One reason we all love the throwback weeks in the NFL is we all love throwback threads. This is a survey that has been done in real-time before, in plain sight of NFL marketing departments everywhere. One of the best throwback combos is when the Falcons roll out the red helmet, black jersey combo that was featured in the 80s — a look that continued into the next decade with the red helmets swapped for black.
The old Falcon logo is cool, the black jerseys and number font are cool. Everything works about the Falcons 90s-era look, except for the fact that we don’t have it now. It’s clear the team tried to blend old with new, but sometimes a return to your roots is for the best. Tampa Bay did this the right way, remixing their 2000s Super Bowl era look with a new style to produce uniforms that were met with high praise.
Atlanta just needed to look within the division for a cool idea that would have looked entirely different while also satisfying the masses. Instead, the worst jersey in the NFL remains in the NFC South, it’s just moved from Florida to Georiga.
