3rd round

EDGE. Broncos . Curtis Weaver. 78. player. 895.

Atlanta has been linked pretty often to LSU’s K’Lavon Chaisson in the first round but if they pass or he’s off the board, this is the more likely spot you’ll see them take an EDGE player.

Boise State’s Curtis Weaver is one player who could intrigue the Falcons with his unique size and pass-rushing skill set.

It took Weaver just three years of playing time with the Broncos to become the Mountain West’s all-time leading sack artist (34.0), also good for fifth on the NCAA’s all-time list. The Falcons are hoping that kind of consistent production will follow him to the NFL and could envision him as a key to unlocking the team’s pass rush on the edge.

Takk McKinley enters the final year of his rookie deal this season and Weaver offers a similar athletic profile to eventually replace him if he decides to leave in free agency.
