College football DFS picks October 1: Take home some Cougars

College football DFS quarterback picks October 1:
Top Tier:
Zach Wilson is going to be highly owned and for good reason. First off, there is plenty of value on this slate to pay up for him. Second, he obliterated Troy through the air and poached two rushing touchdowns. That’s not going to be the norm, but we’ll still see Wilson air it out plenty against the Bulldogs.
Middle Tier:
Sam Hartman’s numbers are scary bad, but his two games have been against Clemson and North Carolina State. Still, Campbell is not a bad team. I expect Wake to do much of their damage on the ground. I’m not even sure I’d fly with Hartman in GPP’s in this one.
Bargain Shoppers:
Luke Anthony seems to have won the starting QB job outright against Southern Miss. There’s a chance we could see some of Aaron Allen if BYU jumps out early, but my money is still on Anthony. If the Bulldogs need to throw to win, Anthony is the guy. He has eight touchdown passes in just 51 attempts! Anthony is great on the cheap against BYU even if they lose.
The only one left is the cheapest. That doesn’t mean he’s the worst option. In fact, I’m pretty high on Campbell signal caller Hajj-Malik Williams. Williams is the leading rusher for the Camels as well, so that adds to his upside. Wake’s defense has been gashed on the ground and Williams has 43 carries with four rushing touchdowns already. There’s no reason for him to be this cheap.
