The Tampa Bay Rays were down to the Houston Astros in ALCS Game 5, until Ji-Man Choi tied things up with a bomb.
Game 5 of the ALCS was going the Houston Astros way, as evidenced by George Springer’s leadoff home run in the first inning and Michael Brantley’s two-RBI single in the bottom of the third-inning. The opener strategy appeared to blow up in the Tampa Bay Rays’ faces. But, all it took was a little faith in the batting order to get back in the game.
The Rays faced a 3-2 deficit in the top of the eighth-inning with Josh James on the mound. Tampa Bay first baseman Ji-Man Choi stepped up to the plate and hit a bomb to right field to tie things up. Oh, and Choi pulled off an epic bat flip to match!

Rays continue to show fight
Choi managed to send that pitch from James 447th feet, which happened to be the third-longest home run of his career! Fun fact, this is his first postseason home run that wasn’t off New York Yankees ace Gerrit Cole.
The Rays continue to prove that they have a lot of fight in them, and you can never count them out. This is a team that’s hellbent on making their second-ever trip to the World Series, and they’re just one win away from doing so. They have plenty of individuals cheering them on, because they want anyone but the Astros to represent the AL in the Fall Classic.
