Pick Analysis. player. 57. Scouting Report. NFC. North. Chicago Bears. 2

The Bears have most of the ingredients needed to win in the modern NFL. They have a truly elite pass rush, perimeter talent on offense, and solid coaching on both sides of the ball. However, their quarterback room remains their Achilles heel, as Nick Foles is not an upgrade over Mitch Trubisky. Minshew, still on his rookie contract, would be an inexpensive improvement over both of them that has proven to be a superior passer over the last few seasons should Ryan Pace end up pulling the trigger.

The Bears might’ve been burned by Jacksonville once after taking on Foles’ huge contract and getting minimal results, but Minshew is a much better trade target. Young, inexpensive, and actually capable of running Nagy’s smoke and mirrors offense with a degree of skill, Minshew would take over QB1 duties instantly.

With Minshew as the quarterback, Chicago would not only be a playoff contender, but they might become the new favorites in the NFC North.
