Sean Payton stuffed Roddy White into a locker for his pregame tweet
Never mess with Sean Payton after a victory
It wasn’t pretty, but the New Orleans Saints remain on top of the division with their 24-9 victory the Atlanta Falcons. Meanwhile, Saints coach Sean Payton continues to win at being the league’s best troll.
Earlier in the day, Falcons legend Roddy White tweeted that because of Taysom Hill getting the start, Atlanta should roll over the Saints before it’s over. Moments after an impressive outing from the gadget man himself, Payton instantly retweeted him and setting the Falcons fan base on fire.
Is Taysom Hill really the starter?
Despite poor play from the start, Hill actually turned things around in the second half. Finishing 18-of-23 passing for 233 yards and scoring a pair of touchdowns on the ground, the 30-year-old did his part to secure a victory at home.
Many were surprised that it was Hill getting the call over the likes of former No.1 pick Jameis Winston. Some were even shocked in the locker room that they were putting their trust in the hands of a player who’s yet to throw a touchdown. Granted, he still hasn’t thrown for a score, but Hill produced when his team called him and did enough to get one by.
At some point, people have to stop doubting the mind of Payton. After an illustrious career down in the Bayou, some might be wondering if his mind isn’t working right. Once again, Payton trolled everyone while proving he is one of the smartest minds in the league.
Then again, Atlanta really must be terrible to lose this one, right?
