Is Floyd Mayweather really boxing Logan Paul next?

Welp, it appears as though our worst nightmares may have finally come true … if you believe Floyd Mayweather. According to the boxer, he’ll be stepping into the ring to face YouTube star-turned boxer, Logan Paul for his next boxing match. He’s even shared the official trailer and a link to pre-order the pay-per-view.

The proposed bout is promoted by Mayweather Productions, Fanmio Boxing and MAV and set to take place on Feb. 20, 2021. There is no location given. The description of the event, per Fanmio.com, says “Undefeated, 12-time, five-division boxing superstar Floyd Mayweather at 50-0 will take on social media sensation Logan Paul in a special exhibition boxing match that is expected to make history.”

The PPV is priced at $24.99 for early buyers, $54.99 if you include the limited and exclusive fight shirt with your bundle.

The keyword in all of this is “exhibition.” This means, if this fight actually does happen, it appears as though it might, it won’t count against either fighter’s official record. This also means there could be different rules.

Paul’s brother Jake recently shot into stardom overnight after his viral KO of NBA star, Nate Robinson. Fighters from around the globe had an opinion about the man most famous for having one of the most disliked videos ever uploaded on YouTube.

Paul is equally as polarizing as found controversy online when he filmed a dead body.

It seems like an odd move for Mayweather to make unless he sees some viable money to be made fighting a man who has no business being in the ring with him. But since Mayweather has already done that once (ahem, Conor McGregor) we wouldn’t put it past him.

Paul’s previous bout with KSI reached record-breaking heights turning in1.6 million live viewers, 21 million views within a day, and over 25 million over the next few days.

Looks like this might actually be legit folks. We hate to break it to you.

Will you be buying the PPV early?
