Floyd Mayweather won’t rule out a rematch with Conor McGregor down the road

Could we see Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor back inside the ring pounding each other’s faces in for the second time? It would truly be something to see, and while there are no imminent plans for the two fighters to go at it, Mayweather himself isn’t ruling it out.

In a recent interview with Forbes, Mayweather discussed his retired life and a variety of other topics. This includes the idea of potentially going up against McGregor down the road. So, will it happen? In his Forbes interview, Mayweather is leaving the door open for it to happen.

Floyd Mayweather dominated Conor McGregor in their first fight back in 2017

Should the two superstars end up getting inside the ring once again, you can believe millions and millions of people will be tuned in across the world. They first met back in 2017, with Mayweather winning with ease. The fight was stopped in the 10th round via a TKO.

In that round, Mayweather was pummeling McGregor and nearly knocked him down to the ground multiple times. Since then, McGregor, who is now retired from the UFC, has stated he wants a rematch with Money Mayweather.

Mayweather himself is also retired, but has teased multiple times that he’s ready to put the gloves back on. While nothing has been made official, everyone would truly love to see him and McGregor go at it one more time. The press conferences leading up to their first bout were nothing short of entertaining. Imagine what would happen if they decided to dance once again?

Hopefully in the near future, boxing fans everywhere will get some more information on a potential rematch. Mayweather has said he won’t get inside the octagon, but another 12 rounds of him and McGregor going at it in a packed stadium would be awesome to see.
