2. A huge run since a bad loss

The Packers looked to have been exposed back in October against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bucs took home a 38-10 victory and Rodgers managed to go 16/35 for 160 yards and zero touchdowns. He also threw two rare interceptions in the loss.

Then he turned it all around and has been nearly unstoppable since.

That game was a bizarre dark mark on an otherwise amazing season. Rodgers has thrown at least three touchdowns in the seven of the eight games since the loss and has only managed to throw two more interceptions.

True Mahomes believers may cite his yardage as a key stat. But let’s look at Rodgers’ lowest yardage total since the Bucs loss. That came at the end of November against the Chicago Bears when Rodgers only threw for 211 yards. But he didn’t need any more as he also tossed four touchdowns in a 41-25 win.

Throwing for 300 yards is nice for the stats, however, it is not always necessary if a lower yardage total features a handful of touchdowns. Rodgers is extremely efficient and has a great shot to reach the 50-touchdown mark in 2020, just like Mahomes did in 2018.
