AFC. 2. West. Denver Broncos. player. 45. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

Drew Lock and Haskins were picked in the same year, with the record-setting Missouri quarterback lasting until the second round before Denver scooped him up. Lock has shown that his strong arm and gambling mentality can help him put up crazy numbers, as he did against the Carolina Panthers, but Vic Fangio’s patience might be wearing thin due to his wildly inconsistent performances. Denver will almost certainly bring in a quarterback this offseason to push Lock for the starting job, and Haskins might be the highest-ceiling option available, even after a poor start to his career in Washington.

One potential obstacle that could make it difficult for Denver to commit to Haskins is how similar he is to Lock, as they share many of the same strengths and weaknesses. However, Haskins himself might be eyeing the Broncos, as a receiving corps of Jerry Jeudy, Courtland Sutton, Noah Fant, and KJ Hamler would certainly be enticing. If Haskins approaches free agency with the goal of finding a team that could give him a chance to compete for the starting job, Denver might be the best option available.
