2. Los Angeles Rams

Mike Garofolo of NFL Network reported the Titans and Rams have had talks with the Falcons about Jones. The Titans are nothing new, but the Rams?

ESPN had a report saying the Falcons already have an offer for Jones that includes a 2022 first-round pick. Whether that’s true, realistic, complete information etc., the Rams don’t have a first-round pick in 2022 and 2023. They also don’t have the cap space to take on Jones’ $15.3 million base salary for this year. So if the Falcons have an offer that included a first-round pick that they’re ready to accept when the time is right (after June 1), wouldn’t they have told the Rams? And naturally, the Rams would consider themselves out of the mix before a report they had talks about Jones could come out.

Time will tell if the Rams maintain any traction in Jones trade rumors, which are set to come to a head with a deal getting done this coming week. But in the meantime, fans (and quarterback Matthew Stafford) can dream of a three-receiver set comprised of Jones, Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp based on Garafolo’s report.
