4. QB Ben DiNucci

This is hardly a shock considering that the team’s current quarterback depth chart (via Ourlads) has a healthy Dak Prescott on top, followed by Cooper Rush, Garrett Gilbert and Ben DiNucci. Last season, Prescott missed time for the first time in his career and while he was out for the majority of the year, he was a very durable performer his first four seasons in the league.

A seventh-round pick by the team a year ago, he wound up making an appearance in three games and was the starter for a Sunday night tilt at Philadelphia in Week 8. He hit on just 21 of his 40 throws for 180 yards and zero scores in a 23-9 loss. DiNucci was sacked four times and also lost a pair of fumbles.

3. WR Noah Brown

He is regarded as any asset on special teams and that’s something that can’t be undervalued. But the Cowboys are not only loaded at the wide receiver position but could still use as many reinforcements on defense as possible. And while the franchise stressed this side of the ball in free agency and the draft, the club did use a fifth-round pick on Stanford wideout Simi Fehoko.

Hence 2017 seventh-round pick Noah Brown could be on the bubble when it comes to retaining a roster spot. He has totaled just 23 receptions in three seasons with the club and has yet to reach the end zone. He has contributed in other ways but the former Ohio State Buckeye may be looking for work.
