Mitch Trubisky appears to throw shade at the Bears and Matt Nagy
In his latest presser now that he’s with the Buffalo Bills, former first-round pick Mitch Trubisky appeared to throw some shade at the Chicago Bears.
To say things didn’t work out with Mitch Trubisky and the Chicago Bears would be quite the understatement. The former first-round selection was taken in the 2017 NFL Draft with the No. 2 overall pick. The Chicago faithful was ready for him to lead the Bears to multiple Super Bowls.
Four years later, Trubisky is already out of town, as he’s now suiting up for the Buffalo Bills as Josh Allen’s backup. Trubisky clearly doesn’t miss the Windy City, as he dropped quite the quote on Tuesday talking about his time in Buffalo.
Chicago Bears fans won’t like Mitch Trubisky’s latest comments
Trubisky has to be kidding himself if he doesn’t think folks would see this quote and then immediately assume he was taking a shot at the Bears. While he can say all the nice things he wants about the Bills, for him to say he’s now at a place where people care about him progressing as a person and a player is a joke.
Chicago did everything to try and help the man succeed. He just simply couldn’t get the job done. When you’re a No. 2 overall pick, you’re expected to live up to the hype and put the offense in the best position to put points on the board.
While Trubisky would go on to have some strong games for the organization, again, he just didn’t live up to the first-round billing. Now, Chicago has Justin Fields in town and people can’t wait to see what he can do at Soldier Field. Trubisky had folks excited too, but now he’ll join a long list of Chicago busts instead.
