Justin Fields continues to turn heads at Chicago Bears training camp and he’s making quite the push to win the starting job.

With Week 1 of the NFL season around a month away, Matt Nagy has quite the difficult decision on his hands. Will he end up going with first-round pick Justin Fields as his starting quarterback, or have the rookie ride the pine in favor of Andy Dalton?

Bears fans are hoping Fields gets the nod and puts on a show the second he hits the field. Well, if Nagy was paying close attention at practice on Sunday, you know he’s probably blown away with quite the throw Fields delivered.

Justin Fields should be named the starting QB for the Chicago Bears

That throw by Fields really is incredible. He looked like a young Patrick Mahomes right there. Dalton simply doesn’t have the mobility to make this kind of a pass. Fields rolls to his left, throws off-balance and was still able to deliver a strike.

That toss is something Bears haven’t seen in years. It’s also the kind of magic Chicago supporters were hoping for once it was announced that the team had selected Fields with their first-round pick. He was brilliant at Ohio State, solidifying himself as one of the top signal-callers in the country.

Now, he’s getting ready to do amazing things for the Bears, as he’s no question the quarterback of the future for Nagy. While Dalton is trying to have a say in the battle for the starting job, the general feeling among the fan base is that it’s only a matter of time before Fields is under center. Will it be the case for Week 1? We’ll find out soon enough.
