Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley has been superb at training camp and that continued in a joint practice against the Miami Dolphins.

All signs are pointing to Calvin Ridley having an unreal year for the Atlanta Falcons. With Julio Jones now with the Tennessee Titans, there’s no doubt that Ridley will be the go-to option this year for veteran signal-caller Matt Ryan.

Over at training camp, Ridley has been fantastic throughout the sessions, and that continued Thursday morning in a joint practice with the Miami Dolphins. Ridley was lined up 1-on-1 with Byron Jones and he made him look like a rookie in the video below.

Calvin Ridley should have a monster year for the Atlanta Falcons

How is any defensive back supposed to stop that? Ridley indeed put Jones on skates, as he quite literally had no chance in trying to stop him here. If you’re a Falcons fan, you’ve simply got to be jacked up for what Ridley will be able to do this campaign.

Last season, Ridley balled out and put up outstanding stats. The fourth-year man hauled in 90 balls for 1,374 yards and nine touchdowns. Time and time again, he came up big for the Falcons offense.

Unfortunately for Atlanta, it was a year to forget, as the team finished with a 4-12 record. They also were last in the NFC South standings, which obviously was a major disappointment. The squad is hoping to bounce back in a big way this season.

In order for that to happen, Ridley will need to keep making his usual phenomenal plays, while Ryan will need to put the ball on the money as well. We’ll see what Ridley can get done this year, but nothing should stop him from having a great season.
